Day 3 - Blyth to Walton

On day three, we started at Howson Mills.  Pretty uneventful hike today,  but the mosquitoes were TERRIBLE.

First spike of this section of the trail.

We are right up close and personal to some of the farms.

Best picture we could get of the deer that ran out in front of us.

This kid was so happy to see "Heidi" (the Highlander) when we got to the end.

Gotta love them!

Day three - DONE!!!   12.5km

Day 2 - Auburn(Maitland Block Line) to Blyth(Howson Mills)

Today we continued our hike.  We started on the Maitland Block, which isn't quite where we finished last time but close.  Currently, there isn't a bridge from Heron Line to Maitland Block on the G2G trail.  You could walk through the river but we opted not to.

On this leg of the journey we passed where an logging mill once was.  Now, there is just a pile of firewood, ready to be sold.

Max also joined us on this leg of the trail. It was a steamy day and the poo guy got quite hot.  Normally, I just let him run and explore. I was glad I didn't as we came to a bridge.  This bridge was probably 30ft tall.  Originally, I had planned for Max to go for a swim to cool off, but it was a long, long way down. Gave him some bottled water and kept on going.

I was a steep climb up the side of county road 25.  Glad Max pulled me up.

Throughout our hike, Anneka was constantly asking for a bench to sit down on. Unfortunately, there wasn't one until we got right to the end.  She was pretty happy to see it!
